MyX Therapeutics (www.myxthera.com) is a biotech company spun out form our muco-adhesive nanoparticle program led by Dr. Frank Gu from the University of Waterloo (now at the University of Toronto). MyX focuses on the development of a drug-encapsulating mucoadhesive nanoparticle platform capable of improving the therapeutic profile of known drugs. Drug-loaded nanoparticles achieve sustained drug release in addition to increasing efficacy with lower required doses.
