This project centers on the discovery of small molecule inhibitors of ABHD6, a key enzyme in insulin secretion and a novel target for diabetes. This program is a collaboration between Dr. Marc Prentki from the Centre de recherche du Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal and NuChem Therapeutics. Small molecule hits have been identified and validated in cell-based and animal models.
