André Monette

André Monette graduated magna cum laude as a chemical engineer from Polytechnique Montréal and received a diploma in advanced management from Harvard University. He was President and CEO of Johnson & Johnson France, then became President and CEO of Janssen Pharmaceutical in Toronto. Mr. Monette held various senior management positions at Royal Trust, Laurentian Bank and Placements T.A.L. He has acted as President of the governance committee at the Real Estate Fund of Fonds de Solidarité des Travailleurs du Québec (FTQ) and served as a member of the board of several institutions including Investissement-Québec and the Real Estate Fund of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ. He has served as a member of the investment committee of the New Economy at Fonds de solidarité FTQ. Mr. Monette sits on the investment committee of AmorChem, a life science investment fund, and on the board of directors of Starpax Medical, a company that fights cancer.
