Francis is Scientific Analyst in the fund. Broadly, Francis acts as support to the Partners by being involved in a variety of projects, where his role is typically to find, understand, sum up and present scientific or competitive intel internally to guide strategic decision-making. Notably, he plays a key role in due diligence as well as in positioning efforts for the university projects and companies in the fund’s portfolio.
Francis initially joined AmorChem as an intern in January 2019. Before joining the team, he had worked as a business development intern at Bellus Health, where he analyzed competitive landscapes and built revenue models for an exploratory indication. He also interned at a research lab of the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Pharmacy before being taken on as research auxiliary. There, he worked on a project investigating the role of innate immunity in vascular remodeling. Francis holds a BSc in Biopharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Montreal and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.
